Simple Silk Satin Mermaid Wedding Dress with Lace Detail
This Savannah Miller Alma wedding dress is so beautiful. It is full-on old-school, elegant glamour.
I purchased this in 2020 for my (COVID-delayed) wedding in 2021, and I got countless compliments on this dress. Worn just once and has been professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress specialist. No marks or tears.
Design: It is a pure satin fabric with chantilly lace detailing over the spaghetti straps, creating a gorgeous v-front and a deep v-back. Very sexy yet very classy. It has a tie-up detail at the back that you can bow or knot. This dress is bias cut and falls perfectly from the waist, hugging the hips to the floor with a small train (about 2 feet long). It bustles extremely easily (just 3 hidden buttons in the back at the bottom).
Size: I am 5’7” and 180 lbs, and I wore flats at my wedding. I had the front of the bottom hemmed slightly to meet this length. The dress easily accommodated Spanx (which I wore).
Alterations: It is a size 14, but I had the dress professionally altered only in the bust and hip area to accommodate my measurements (bust is 42 inches, C cup; hips are 43 inches).
