I purchased this gown from The Dress Theory in Seattle in April 2020 for our wedding that was postponed (we later had a casual elopement). I ONLY wore it once for ~2hr for a photo shoot in Joshua Tree National Park after which it was immediately dry cleaned and stored. We are planning an informal reception so I no longer have a need for the gorgeous dress.
It is in like-new condition and was insanely comfortable to wear, even while tromping around to take photos. It has a bit of give and could easily fit a US 4 with a few alterations or a US 6. I would be so excited for this beauty to go to another bride :)
Here is the description from the Rue de Seine website: "Off-white embroidery on mesh, paired with a smokey mesh lining, give the Jackson Gown a very modern romance. Ethereal and elegant, the form-fitted silhouette to low hip and plunging neckline fuse effortless modern romance with classic beauty. Side godets add volume to the skirt while maintaining a close to the body fit at the front. Our Floral lace is showcased beautifully with the contrast of smoke lining throughout the entire gown."
Alterations:
- Hooks added to create an American-style bustle.
- Cups were sewn in and later removed as I didn't like the way they looked.
- Front mesh lowered 1" to lay better on my chest.
